1. プラズマプロセシングの基礎過程解明：
   プラズマプロセシングに用いられる反応性プラズマ中で生じる現象，および，プラズマと材料との相互作用について研究しています。
2. 新しいプラズマ生成法の開発および応用開拓：
   従来とは異なるプラズマ生成技術およびその応用を研究しています。特に，レーザーや超音波を使って液体中にプラズマを作る方法に重点をおいています。
3. プラズマ診断技術の開発：
   レーザー分光法を応用したプラズマ診断技術を研究しています。これにより難測定プラズマパラメータを求め，プラズマ中の基礎過程解明に役立てます。
